    • Annotation of the Higher Education Institution The healthcare sector has been an extremely active growth industry for years and therefore also a driver of jobs with remarkable employment growth. Currently, one in eight employees in Germany works in this sector.

Interesting entry and promotion opportunities await you in various functional areas: from the local hospital that is changing to patient-oriented processes, to the international medical technology corporation that wants to involve the staff of a clinic in its product development. Health managers are also increasingly sought after beyond healthcare facilities and the healthcare industry, for example as management consultants or health coaches.

We qualify you as an expert in business administration and provide you with the necessary expertise about the German healthcare system. With this knowledge, you will be able to assume leadership tasks at the management level of companies in the healthcare industry.

In addition to specialist knowledge, the development of your social skills is also an important component of your studies, because in order to mediate between the different actors and professional fields of the healthcare system, you must be able to put yourself in the position of these groups and organisational structures.

The Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) is a business school with an international network. In their bachelor and master degree programmes, the faculties “Business and Economics”, “Information Management” and “Healthcare Management” prepare the students for management positions.
In dual curricula, like the studies with intensive practical experience or the co-operative studies based on the Ulm Model, specialized knowledge is passed on to the students and thus prepares them for the demands of working life. Numerous joint projects and cooperation with companies enable the students to network with future employers from the first semester on.

    Studies and teaching

An essential component of all degree programmes are business studies, which are, depending on the degree programme, combined with technology, design, IT or healthcare management. The students are prepared industry-specifically to management positions.

To prepare the students not only for the regional but also the global job market, international exchange is supported. For that reason, the HNU is partner of numerous universities around the globe, where the students can spend one or more semesters. In two degree programmes, the students can do a double degree, where they send several semesters at the Oulu University of Applied Sciences in Finland and thus receive two degrees. In the two master degree programmes Business Intelligence and Business Analytics and International Enterprise Information Management, the exchange semester is mandatory.
