Once you have completed your research project and written your dissertation, you must submit it to your faculty for review. At the same time you will usually write a request for permission to sit for the examination, the actual process for the awarding of the doctoral degree.
- a CV
- multiple copies of the dissertation
- an abstract of the dissertation
- evidence of fulfilment of the requirements for examination
You must always enclose a written declaration that you wrote the dissertation yourself, all sources and aids used are acknowledged in the dissertation and you have followed good scientific practice. To find out what other documents must be enclosed with your request for permission to sit for the examination, please refer to the doctoral regulations or contact the doctorate office in your faculty.
