- Annotation of the Higher Education Institution The katho offers the degree programme with vocational and academic elements in Aachen, Cologne and Paderborn and - subject to extension accreditation - also in Münster from the winter semester of 2025/26.
  
  The degree programme with vocational and academic elements begins at the same time at the university and in a practice facility. The students will work at both study locations throughout the entire six-semester degree course. The close interlinking of the practical and university study locations helps you both to acquire scientifically sound knowledge and to develop competencies for social work. The practice of professional action and its reflection are also fostered.

Access and Admission Requirements
- Mode of admission without admission restriction
- Admission semester winter semester
- Pre-study work placement (3 months) in the field of social work/ social education.
  
  The pre-study work placement is deemed to have been completed when you have acquired the qualification for the degree course by means of the subject-specific higher education entrance qualification from a technical school for social work/special education. The fulfilment of the required pre-study work placement must be credibly assured by the application deadline. The actual completion of the programme is possible until the beginning of the semester (September 1st).
  
  A placement position does NOT have to be proved. On admission to the degree programme, Catholic University of Applied Sciences grants students access to the pool of cooperating practice facilities.
