    • Annotation of the Higher Education Institution Since winter semester 20/21, the degree course fulfils one of the prerequisites (Master's degree and psychotherapeutic examination also required) for the subsequent award of a licence to practise as a psychotherapist, provided the prescribed modules are completed.
      Professional recognition by the government of Upper Bavaria is available.

      The degree course serves to ensure the acquisition of competencies and the implementation of the requirements according to Art. 7 and Art. 9 PsychThG as well as Art.Art. 13-15 and Appendix 1 PsychTh-ApprO. The bachelor's course at the University of Regensburg, when completed with the required modules including the prescribed internships, together with a later relevant master's programme, imparts the basic competencies required for independent, autonomous and comprehensive psychotherapeutic care of patients of all ages and taking into account the concerns of people with disabilities by means of scientifically recognised psychotherapeutic procedures. The degree course is oriented towards the generally accepted state of psychotherapeutic, psychological, pedagogical, medical and other related scientific knowledge.
