    • Target group The course is aimed at graduates with a first professional degree in Degree courses in the field of Southeast European Studies, History, Slavic Studies (focus on South), Romance Studies / Romanian Studies, Religious Studies, Political Science or one that is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in the amount of 180 credits and subject-related studies at a university or equivalent higher education institution in Germany or abroad.

    • The technical prerequisite is proof of study achievements in the field of Southeast European Studies, History, South Slavic Studies, Romance Studies / Romanian Studies, Religious Studies or Political Science in the scope of at least 60 credit points and a final grade of at least 'good'.
      Knowledge of at least one of the following languages at level A2 is also required: Bulgarian, Serbian / Croatian, Romanian, Hungarian, Greek (modern), Turkish, Albanian.
      International applicants are required to provide proof of command of German at the level of a DSH test (stage 2), a TestDaF (TDN 4) or a recognised equivalent.
