    • - Bachelor's or equivalent academic degree preferably in the subjects of Economics, Political Science/Social Sciences
      - at least 210 ECTS points (applicants with 180 credit points must additionally acquire 30 credit points, for example through an integrated work placement; I.e. the Master's degree is thereby extended by one semester)
      - Successful participation in courses related to Europe
      - Work experience in the desired field of study of at least one year, if available
      – Very good knowledge of English, corresponding to level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) recommended by the Council of Europe,
      – Letter of motivation in English.

    At the HWR Berlin, our approach to academic education is strongly informed by the latest research and aligned with real world skills.     Diverse Research

    Conducting high-level research with a focus on its applicability, researchers at the HWR Berlin work in five departments, eight internal research Institutes and six An-Institutes conducting research into topics pertaining to Economics and the Social Sciences, the Administrative Sciences, Engineering and Law. A multi-disciplinary research concept promotes the development of shared research foci. The university also maintains an internal programme of research funding. The HWR Berlin is a member of the Institut für angewandte Forschung Berlin e. V. (IFAF).

    International Focus

    Our international focus is an integral component of our institutional philosophy and informs every aspect of our teaching and research programme. Currently maintaining over 180 active partnerships with institutions of higher education on every continent, we are continually seeking to expand and reinforce existing programmes of co-operation. The HWR Berlin is also a member in the “Alliance for Excellence” (UAS7) an association of seven German institutions of Higher Education dedicated to quality and internationality and working to extend joint research undertakings and develop shared research strategies.
