    • Annotation of the Higher Education Institution The Master’s in Media Psychology combines psychology, communication and media sciences with economics, management and marketing. In particular, the study programme teaches the necessary media psychology theories and methods for the various fields of work. By cooperating with partners from companies and media organisations, the teaching is backed by an intensive application and practical relevance that is close to the workplace.

The cultural, psychoanalytical and morphological focus of the Master’s programme based on qualitative methods is unique throughout Germany. A cultural-psychological perspective describes and analyses media consistently in their everyday and unconscious activities. The Morphological Approach considers the use of media in particular as the formation of patterns in constant change.

Combined with the positions and perspectives of science-driven media psychology, you will acquire a broad range of skills to understand media and communication in their relevant contexts. You are able to develop effective concepts and measures, especially with regard to the design and efficient use of media.
