    • Target group This course is aimed at psychologists who are interested in continuing education in the field of Legal Psychology or see their professional future in this field of activity. The Master's degree course in Legal Psychology at the PHB offers practically relevant graduate education on a high academic level delivered by notable teaching staff. It allows for the flexible combination of at least two (possibly more, depending on interest) of the following specialisations: Forensic assessment, assessment under family law, offender assessment, intervention in the criminal justice and treatment order process. With the final award of an M.Sc. in Legal Psychology, graduates have a qualification in legal psychology that is required, for example, in connection with the minimum requirements for assessment under family law.

    • Annotation of the Higher Education Institution The postgraduate M.Sc. Legal psychology is aimed at psychologists:with a Master's degree programme or diploma who wish to work in the field of legal psychology. Under the direction of Prof. Renate Volbert, the course offers practical training at a first-class scientific level.

      The degree course allows for the flexible combination of at least two (possibly more, depending on interest) of the following specialisations: Forensic assessment, assessment under family law, offender assessment, intervention in the criminal justice and treatment order process (more information).

      With the final award of an M.Sc. in Legal Psychology, graduates have a qualification in legal psychology that is required, for example, in connection with the minimum requirements for assessment under family law. Those who would also like to acquire the title of a specialist psychologist for legal psychology BDP/DGPs can have the courses of the degree course recognised for the further training as a specialist psychologist. The theoretical requirements of continuing education are fully covered by the degree course.

This especially benefits students who need more time for their studies for personal, professional or family reasons.
