    • Target group The Master's degree programme is aimed at talented and ambitious graduates of a Bachelor's degree in the field of Economics who want to prepare for responsible positions in the areas of finance, accounting, controlling and taxation. The consecutive degree programme combines the highly interlinked disciplines and takes into account the individual focus of the students through a wide range of options.

    • – Bachelor's academic degree or an equivalent qualification
      - At least 210 ECTS points (applicants with 180 credit points must earn an additional 30 credit points, for example through an integrated work placement, which lengthens the course of study by 1 semester)
      - Proof that at least two degree course subjects of the four relevant subject areas of Finance, Accounting, Controlling and Taxation have been completed in the previous degree course with a total of at least 20 ECTS.
      - At least one year’s work experience in the area of the desired field of study, if available (proof of work content and period of time)
      - very good proficiency in English (B2)
      - Letter of motivation and curriculum vitae in English
      - GMAT / GMAT Focus with a result of over 600 points, if available. No further proof of English is required with a GMAT/ GMAT Focus.

    Diverse Research

    Conducting high-level research with a focus on its applicability, researchers at the HWR Berlin work in five departments, eight internal research Institutes and six An-Institutes conducting research into topics pertaining to Economics and the Social Sciences, the Administrative Sciences, Engineering and Law. A multi-disciplinary research concept promotes the development of shared research foci. The university also maintains an internal programme of research funding. The HWR Berlin is a member of the Institut für angewandte Forschung Berlin e. V. (IFAF).

    International Focus

    Our international focus is an integral component of our institutional philosophy and informs every aspect of our teaching and research programme.
