  • Field of study
    • Target group To be eligible to take the Master's degree programme in Cultural Communication, students must have a Bachelor’s degree in which they already studied some of the areas relevant to or subjects that are part of the Master’s degree, e.g. as part of a teacher training degree or degree courses in Art History, Music or Theatre Studies. The academic degree leading to the final qualification must have a minimum of 180 ECTS points or a standard period of study of at least three years. The degree course also offers qualified artists and musicians the opportunity to add cultural communication to their qualifications.

    • Annotation of the Higher Education Institution The course is split into two consecutive study sections. Modules 1 and 2 impart knowledge in the field of cultural theory and cultural education. Basic knowledge of the cultural business and introductions to the profile fields of art, music and literature/theatre conclude the theoretical foundation in the basic studies.

      In the second year of study, students can choose specialisations in line with their interests in the areas of Art, Music or Literature and Theatre. Relevant contents are also provided by cooperation partners.

      Individual specialisation is also supported by a practical phase, culminating in a specific research project in the specialisation chosen.
