    • Target group The consecutive Master's degree programme “Turkish Studies” is a scientific degree course leading to an additional professionally qualifying academic degree based on the first professionally qualifying academic degree. It aims to convey in-depth scientific knowledge in the fields of linguistic Turkology and Turkish Philology.

      This degree course will start for the first time in the 2022/23 winter semester.
      The application periods are as follows: Application, admission and joint start of degree course of the students in Uppsala, application period 16.10.2021-15.01.2022 (first round) and 15.03.2022–15.04.2022 (second round), start of study 29.08.2022

    • 1. Proof of a Bachelor's degree in the range of a Swedish Bachelor's degree (candidate examination) in Turkish languages, Turkology or another area directly related to the subject of Turkic Studies. A corresponding certificate must be available at the time of admission.
      2. Proof of command of English. The Master's degree programme "Turkic Studies" is an English-speaking degree course. The examinations are to be conducted in English (German language skills are not required).
      3. The application and admission procedure is conducted by Uppsala University (UU, Sweden): https://www.universityadmissions.se
      (Students spend the first and second semesters at UU in Sweden and the third and fourth semesters at JGU in Mainz).

      • TOEFL IBT (English): Punktzahl 20 (Skala von 0–30) im schriftlichen Test und eine Gesamtpunktzahl von 90
      • TOEFL PBT (English): Punktzahl 4.5 (Skala von 1–6) im schriftlichen Test und eine Gesamtpunktzahl von 575
