Field of study
- Target group The consecutive Master's degree programme “Turkish Studies” is a scientific degree course leading to an additional professionally qualifying academic degree based on the first professionally qualifying academic degree. It aims to convey in-depth scientific knowledge in the fields of linguistic Turkology and Turkish Philology.

- 1. Proof of a Bachelor's degree in the range of a Swedish Bachelor's degree (candidate examination) in Turkish languages, Turkology or another area directly related to the subject of Turkic Studies. A corresponding certificate must be available at the time of admission.
  2. Proof of command of English. The Master's degree programme "Turkic Studies" is an English-speaking degree course. The examinations are to be conducted in English (German language skills are not required).
  3. The application and admission procedure is conducted by Uppsala University (UU, Sweden): https://www.universityadmissions.se
  (Students spend the first and second semesters at UU in Sweden and the third and fourth semesters at JGU in Mainz).

  - Cambridge (English): CAE, CPE
  - IELTS (English): Gesamtpunktzahl 6.5, dabei in keiner Sektion weniger als 5.5 Punkte
  - TOEFL IBT (English): Punktzahl 20 (Skala von 0–30) im schriftlichen Test und eine Gesamtpunktzahl von 90
  - TOEFL PBT (English): Punktzahl 4.5 (Skala von 1–6) im schriftlichen Test und eine Gesamtpunktzahl von 575
