We are a young university, yet we draw on a long tradition in education. Why? Because our university was founded in 2009 by merging two technical colleges. So you'll find the very latest teaching concepts here as well as experience and solid expertise stretching back to educational institutions from 1832.
Today, our Elsfleth campus is Germany's most renowned nautical training centre. And many other departments of our young University also make a splash beyond the region. Courses such as Auditory Technology or Assistive Technologies are unique to Jade University of Applied Sciences.

In order to cope with the growing demands made on today’s technical faculties and on research practices, Jade University takes it one step further and focuses on interdisciplinary collaboration. This promotes and reinforces development in the following future-oriented areas: Energy, Design, Material and Construction, Health, Information, Maritime Management and Technology, Logistic and Commerce.
